Saturday Morning Walk – Crestwood Park/Eastside Trail, Kirkland, WA
March 18 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm EDT

Walking in Spring can be unpredictable weatherwise lovely one minute, stormy the next. Normal rainy weather will not cancel an event, but high winds or torrential rain, will cause me to cancel completely or change what we do for safety’s sake. Please check in the morning of the event to see what is happening. Arm yourself for seasonal weather swings. Please keep your RSVP up to date – even if you are on the waiting list.
Please familiarize yourself with the posted hike before you sign up so that you know what you are getting into and can come prepared.
Participation will be limited per rules of the trails and comfort level of host, so be courteous and only RSVP if you intend to show up.
Dogs must be leashed and poop scooped. (No bags left behind)
I think we explored this park many years ago before the Cross Corridor Trail in Kirkland was constructed (i think it was in the planning stages).
There are some forested trails and it will connect to the now Eastside Trail. Lets go check it out.
## Hiking Crestwoods Park Trail
This is a short, easy hike starting on Forbes Creek Drive. Start by climbing a 240 step staircase and then break into Crestwood Park. The trail system is extensive, offering many options to stroll around the hills of the park.
Thick forest surrounds the park on the north, east and south sides, giving it a feeling of solitude despite being nestled in a city.
Trails branch into the forest to the north, east, and south, offering plenty of opportunity for exploration by budding hikers.
