Santa Cruz hikes with dogs at Pogonip Park, end of Spring Street

Lets go get some sun on our faces, breathe some fresh air.

Hi everybody,

Pogonip Spring Trail Trail head (meet at end of Spring Street) is an easy approx 3 mile hike, mostly level except if we take the lime kiln detour. Interesting to see for a bit of Santa Cruz history. The trail is rocky in some places. Most of the walk is shaded by trees.

Please update your RSVP before 9:00 AM on the day of the hike if your plans change. Three No-Shows and you will be removed from the group. We will hit the trails at 10:15 AM, so please be prompt, or you will be walking by yourself.

Dogs must be licensed, vaccinated and non-aggressive.

I don’t think most of you know this, but Meetup charges a fee to use their website. It comes out of my checking account every 6 months. If you can make a small contribution now and then it would be appreciated.

Looking forward to meeting you at Pogonip. I’d be glad to hear some suggestions about new places to meet and walk with our doggos, or if you would like to host a hike on a different day or a new location, let me know! I would love to have an occasional co-host.
