Not everyone has messages turned on and I want to make sure people understand why they’ve been put in a trial period and what’s up. Apologies to those of you who have gotten this message….. twice already.

From Charlie’s first notion of a gathering space for dogs and their people to today’s Meet Up group of over 1,000 people and even more dogs, some incredible romps have been had, friendships forged, and dog community built.

Ironically, summers are slower months for dog romps – so many things and places pulling people in all directions. We encourage anyone who wants to host a walk to let us know and we will set you up as an event organizer and hold your hand through your first set up of a romp while you discover how very simple it is. It is REALLY simple.

Either way, expect romps to pick back up as we transition to Fall.

And speaking of transitions….. heads up to our members that we will soon be transitioning to a paid membership. This is not intended to keep anyone out – hosting a dog romp through this platform is not cheap and we are hoping to share some of the burden with our dog loving community. We are trying to keep it affordable ($6.00/year per person which we hope will cover the MeetUp/admin costs.) If you cannot afford the $6.00 a year and want to stay part of the group, please reach out and we will work that out with you. We will also adjust the dues up or down next year as we gauge continued interest and see what it takes to cover the MeetUp admin costs.

Will you join us? If so, members who joined the group before 8/24/23 will be charged at the end of this two week trial. You can put your payment information in any time BUT IT WON’T GO THROUGH UNTIL THE TRIAL PERIOD IS OVER. After this transition, new members will have 4 weeks to try the group before being charged. Bear with the clunkiness, just figuring out how this works.
