A Sunday Evening Walk and Potluck at Eisenhower Park During National Dog Month
August 21, 2022 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm EDT
Eisenhower Park is one of San Antonio’s favorite hiking parks. It offers trails at various difficulty levels. However, we will stick to the Cedar Flats Trail (a paved trail) on the way up, and the Cedar Flats Trail on the way down. At the top of the trail is the famous tower which provides a great panoramic view of the City of San Antonio.
Our route will be about 1.6 miles and will take us just under an hour to complete. Although some of the route is somewhat steep, it is an easily manageable route for most people and dogs, and we have had great walks here in the past.
Let’s Celebrate National Dog Month with a potluck. Some ideas would be the following:
1. Buffalo Wings
2. Fried Chicken
3. Tacos
4. Watermelon
5. Salads of any kind
6. Donuts/Cake/Cookies
7. Water/Soft Drinks
8. Utensils/ Napkin/Cups, etc.
9. Anything else that you would like to bring.
10. **Dog Treats**
Bringing something is not required.
