A magical morning at the Ginko Grove and then a stop at Cobbler Mountain
November 5 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm EDT
PawsUP for Ashley and River for suggesting this special meetup!
The Ginkgo Grove undergoes a magical transformation each fall as the leaves transition from green to gold at the Blandy Experimental Farm at the Virginia Arboretum — https://blandy.virginia.edu/fall-2022-ginkgo-info
### WHAT’S SO SPECIAL ABOUT BLANDY’S GINKGO GROVE?
With over 300 trees, Blandy’s Ginkgo Grove is one of the largest public ginkgo groves in America. You can learn more about the Grove in [our brochure!](https://blandy.virginia.edu/sites/blandy.virginia.edu/files/Blandy%20Ginkgo%20Grove%20Brochure.pdf)
Due to the large number of people visiting the Ginkgo Grove October-November, we strongly encourage visitors to park in one of the lots near the Quarters building and enjoy the scenic, 10-minute walk to the Grove. [Here is a map](https://blandy.virginia.edu/sites/blandy.virginia.edu/files/Ginkgo_Walking_Map_Website_2021.png) showing the parking area and walking route. There are only a small number of public parking spaces at the Ginkgo Grove, and these spaces are exclusively reserved for visitors with limited mobility. To reduce vehicle traffic near the Grove and protect tree roots from soil compaction, parking along the side of the road near the Ginkgo Grove is not permitted.
After lots of photos with our Aussies, we’ll head to Cobbler Mountain in Delaplane — https://www.cobblermountain.com/
